Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze different methods to expose SMA.
  2. Analyze patient cases that resulted in morbidity or mortality to understand pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative decision making.
  3. Develop strategies to efficiently prevent and manage a broad range of surgical complications, including rapid identification of complications.
  4. Utilize up to date surgical literature to influence management of complex surgical patients.
  5. Implement more palliative care utilization when appropriate.
  6. Implement the developed strategies to enhance pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care.
  7. Incorporate current evidence-based guidelines and techniques into practice.
