Overview
This education series will provide a platform for the multidisciplinary care team to discuss and focus on complex obstetric cases to ensure the entire care team will be ready to respond effectively upon the arrival of these patients, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care. This conference aims to bridge the professional practice gaps related to these complex obstetric cases by providing evidence-based insights and collaborative strategies to improve clinical outcomes for both mothers and their infants in these intricate cases.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Identify key risk factors and clinical presentations in complex obstetric cases, such as maternal aortic grafts and placenta accreta spectrum, enhancing their diagnostic skills.
  2. Assess and evaluate clinical outcomes in complex obstetric cases, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and shared learning within their teams.
  3. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the roles and responsibilities of each team member in managing complex obstetric patients, ensuring coordinated and effective care upon patient arrival.
  4. Develop strategies to diagnose and manage fetal anomalies, enabling better prenatal counseling and care planning for affected families.
  5. Implement evidence-based management strategies for high-risk pregnancies, including the appropriate use of interventions such as cesarean hysterectomy and multidisciplinary collaboration.
