Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Analyze and discuss robust case presentations with the multidisciplinary and interprofessional healthcare team including radiologists, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, pathologists, pharmacists, genetic counselors, and social workers.
  2. Evaluate indications for total neoadjuvant approach for rectal cancer.
  3. Develop strategies to improve radiographic evaluation and interpretation.
  4. Develop a comprehensive plan for delivering optimal patient care based on case discussion.
  5. Develop protocols for surveillance in patients with complete clinical response in rectal cancer.
  6. Implement NCCN management guidelines, AJCC staging guidelines, and evaluate clinical trial availability to improve the treatment of patients with cancer.
  7. Improve preoperative targeted therapy use.
